The benefits of natural honey - what does the science say?

Honey is not just a natural sweetener. It is a complex biological system containing over 180 different compounds - sugars, enzymes, organic acids, amino acids, vitamins and antioxidants.

-Fructose (≈38%)
-Glucose (≈31%)
-Water (≈17-20%)

Thanks to the simple carbohydrates , honey is quickly absorbed and provides a quick energy boost. It is suitable for physical exertion or fatigue because it is a natural source of energy.

Important: honey should not be given to children under 3 years of age because of the possibility of the causative agent of botulinum poisoning or the presence of multiple allergens!
